Ajax Oldtimer's Hockey League

Safe and Fun Hockey for Ajax Residents over 35

◊ The Ajax Oldtimers Hockey League was formed in 1973. It is "house league" hockey primarily for Ajax Residents aged 35 and over. Our objectives are to provide Safe and Fun Hockey for Ajax Residents.

◊ We play on Sunday nights at the Ajax Village Arena on Church Street, just north of Highway #2

◊ There are 14 teams in two divisions;
    - Kerr Division for players 35 and over, and...
    - Clute Division for players 50 and over.

◊ Teams are made up of 14 skaters and a goalie and we are commited to equal ice time for all players, regardless of age or skill.

All Teams make the Playoffs. Playoffs are Round-robin and standings are based on points. Standard Tie-breaking rules apply. There are no prizes - everyone is entitled to attend the year-end party, usually held right after the last games of the season.

◊ The AOHL does not tolerate dangerous or rough play. We abide by the CARHA rules and all major penalties are reviewed by the Referee-in-Chief and the League Executive. Depending on the review, we may (and often do) increase the penalties beyond the CARHA stipulations.

◊ We also assess minor penalties for contacting, or attempting to contact the puck with your stick above your shoulders and for slapshots.
